The TRIP Project was initiated in May 2022 by founding members Prof Alison Kearney and Dr. Louis Botha, to share ideas that were emerging from their collaborative teaching of a Masters’ level course titled “Transformative Practices in Teaching and Research” the pair developed in 2021. Since its inception, there have been numerous TRIP Project seminars, wherein academics at all levels (from students to professors) are invited to participate in robust scholarly discussions on topics of interest.

The Academic Whisperer Workshops are a series of professional development workshops aimed at emerging academics, to support research productivity. In 2025, the Artological Explorers’ Club, aimed specifically at post-graduate students was initiated. This is a supportive, scholarly platform for post-graduate students to share their work in progress, network and develop the skills of talking about their work and giving formative, critical feedback. Below is an archive of past TRIP events. Click on the poster for the event you would like to know more about.
