This pop-up converstation between a group of undergraduate Art History and Theory students and renowned South African arts writer Ashraf Jamal, after Jamal offered to visit one of Prof. Alison Kearney’s undergraduate classes, when he learnt that the students were engaging with his writing. What an awesome, (and terrifying) opportunity for students to meet the author whose work they were reading! Students had the opportunity to ask Jamal questions, and share their insights with him. The TRIP collective is committed to creating oppertunites for authentic, expansive learning, and finding pathwars to meet professionals and public intellectuals.
