Exploring Research Methodologies
A core interest of the TRIP Collective is researching and developing research methodologies that resonate with the social justice and transformative aims of the projects. Many researchers espouse values of social justice, promoting participants’ voices, and social transformation, but then fall to positivistic research methods to conduct the research, and arcane forms of academic writing to share the findings. The TRIP collective is committed to exploring a range of experimental, practice based, experiential research methods to challenge the lack of congruence in aims and methods we see so often in arts based and social sciences research. Below are examples of progressive, experimental research practices, explored and developed by TRIP researchers.
